Biography Writing - An Effective, (No Prep!) Informative Writing Unit
Are you looking for an engaging way to teach Informative Writing?
Are you not sure how to teach the Common Core standards for Informative Writing?
I was, too. I didn’t know how to pack all of that important information into a small mini lesson or how to support my students in the writing process.
I have created these Informative Writing lesson plans just for teachers like you. They will guide you and your students through the entire writing process from Researching to Publishing. This unit includes everything you need!
Students love picking an important person to research for this writing project. This is such an easy way to give your students CHOICE while teaching writing.
With this unit, you will be able to relax and use my teacher slideshow to help you teach those mini-lessons. You will be able to focus on helping your students during their write time and conferring with them on each day’s mini-lesson.
This unit is all about Biographies. Students will pick a person to research. They will take notes from reliable websites and books and then use those notes to create their own biography writing. Everything you need is included in the unit!
•Access to Google Drive Documents
